CHUNABI AND NCVISSA 

Chapman Valley Primary School, together with other country schools (Binnu, Yuna, Kalbarri, Northampton, Beachlands, Walkaway), takes part in summer and winter sports carnivals, swimming and athletics carnivals as part of the NCVISSA (Northampton Chapman Valley Inter-School Sports Association). In addition, sport coaching through the Department of Sport and Recreation is provided in a range of sports during the year, including soccer, basketball, tennis, cricket, athletics and football. The coaching aims to enhance the physical education program. A strong commitment to self management and interpersonal skills is evident in these programs, developing self-esteem, resilience, leadership and teamwork from Pre-Primary to Year 6.

Students also attend swimming lessons at the Geraldton Aquarena in the first weeks of term 1 of each year. The students travel to Geraldton to the Aquarena for these lessons. The fee charged covers the bus travel and entry into the pool for each student. The exact fee for swimming will be announced late at the end of each year or on the first day back of the following year. In-term swimming fees can be paid with school contributions or separately.
